J-Tech Digital 1X2 Wireless HDMI Extender – Best Overall

The first one on the list is the J-Tech Digital Wireless HDMI extender. It comes with a feature to stream very high-quality 1080p video as far as 200ft away. And the video quality does not drop even when there are obstructions.

It supports two receivers at the same time. You can connect anyone transmitter to two J-Tech receivers and a Full HD display source, which is best for sharing content such as movies etc.

It has variable frequency support for 5GHz. Which allows you to avoid any kind of wireless interference you have in your environment caused by different other wireless products. You can choose your operating channel on this device.

The last feature this device has is low latency support in the range of 0.1sec to 0.3sec. This allows you to stream videos but because of such high latency, it’s not an ideal device for gamers and real-time shooting devices.

It supports video streaming of Full HD at 60fps and 60/50HZ@1080I, 60/50HZ @720P, 60/50HZ@576P, 50HZ@576I, 60HZ@480P, 60HZ@480I. It also comes with lifetime support and a 1-year manufacturer warranty.

Pros
  • Strong Signal Quality.
  • Connects two receivers at the same time.
  • High obstruction-free range of 200ft.

  • Latency is slightly on the higher side.

Review

In my usage of the J-Tech Digital Wireless HDMI extender, it performed really well. I was able to connect two receivers simultaneously and was able to stream the videos at the highest quality at ease.

Variable Frequency also worked well, I was able to select different frequency ranges and channels from the device and never saw a drop in the signal.

While testing the range, when I connected this device to two different receivers such as my two different TV in two different rooms, I was able to use the remote from as far as 150ft, and video streaming worked great in both the room.

While I never experienced any drop in the video quality while streaming it from far more than 150ft. And the signal remains intact with the highest video quality of 1080p with 60fps.

It supports wide frequency IR control, because of which I was able to control my TV from far using this Wireless HDMI device.

The drawback was that there was a latency in the video stream of about 0.1 seconds. Which is noticeable initially. But once you keep watching it kind of gets ignored and you get immersed in the videos.

Another drawback was there was a slight increase in the latency when I was using the remote control via IR blaster.

But looking at the overall product, it’s well built and has a lot of features, works well. That is why it’s on our list of top recommendations.

Cons

Review

In my testing of IOGEAR Wireless HD Plug and Play HDMI, I found that this device provides the most secure connection.

Since when you start the connection at pairing you need to provide the WPA password to continue with the connection. Though this makes your connection secure it also makes it complicated for non-technical people.

But the instructions in the box were pretty good and I didn’t face any problem making the connection with this device. I was able to stream videos to my two simultaneously and it also provided a very great video quality at full HD.

I didn’t notice any drop in quality and signal when using from a distance of more than 100ft. But there was a decent drop or you can say a complete drop when I put the device more than 150ft. But the overall range of this device is very decent and does a good job of maintaining good signal strength overall.

The only drawback which I noticed was occasional audio and video lag. When I was using the remote from far or when the device was a little far there was more latency lag between the video and audio which made it annoying sometimes.

But you can fix that I keeping the device closer to the receivers such as TV or projectors. Overall this is a good device and it’s on the cheaper side. Though it does not provide any low latency support and has a little tedious installation.

It supports streaming of full HD 1080p videos including 3D to your TV or projector or any display device even monitors.

It comes with a very easy setup and is a kind of plug n play device which does not require any extra setups to be made. It does not require any additional software or WiFi Connections.

Pros

Review

In my testing of  Nyrius Aries Pro Wireless HDMI Transmitter, I found that give the high price of the device and the features it provides justify that.

I was able to connect my drone camera and TV and was able to stream the video directly to my TV in Full HD 1080p resolution with very low latency.

Though they claim to provide zero latency I noticed there was very minimal latency present.

The best part of this device was that it is compatible with a wide range of other devices. I was able to stream my Xbox using this Wireless HDMI to my TV and Projector. Which felt great and was able to play most of the online games with not many issues.

Talking of the drawback side which I noticed was the range, since it claimed to be 100ft but I got somewhere around 95ft and if there are obstructions in between then you may see a signal drop which I noticed during my testing.

Another thing that I noticed was that while using this Wireless HDMI, It started heating up after around 30 minutes of usage which was a frustrating experience.

I tried to connect with technical support on this heating issue but was given a concrete solution. And the heating issue stayed. But there wasn’t an issue with the performance. But in long run, this heating issue can deteriorate the performance.

Last on the list is Innens Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver. This is the only Wireless HDMI transmitter in this list that supports 4K video and audio streaming at 30fps.

It is compatible with a wide range of devices, you can connect it to your laptop, PC, Mac, smartphone, gaming consoles, satellite box, HDSLR camera, projector, and monitor.

It supports a wide range of 4K video streaming to 98ft. Note that the device should be in the line of sight to get the 98ft range. I will check what range I received while testing it in obstruction cases.

It also supports plug n play features, which means it does not require any external software or WiFi connection. It comes in a glossy stylish aluminum design.

And because of is glossy, it is a fingerprint magnet. Though its design is relatively compact and it can fit anywhere in your room easily.

It also supports a dual antenna design, with 5G transmission efficiency which makes it faster and more stable. It also has a VGA mode transmission.

Pros
  • Easy to set up.
  • 4K Video Streaming at 30fps.
  • Compatible with Most Devices.
  • Excellent video and audio quality.
Cons
  • The range is only 98ft.
  • The cord is too short.

Review

In my review for Innens Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver. I found that it’s the best wireless HDMI transmitter you can get if you want to stream video and audio in 4K.

Connecting this device with the TV and gaming consoles etc was a breeze. It took merely a few seconds and it didn’t require any technical knowledge to do so.

It is very less things to complain about this product apart from the price it comes at. Yes, the Price of more than two hundred dollars is on the expensive side.

Since on this device, I found that latency was very low, and I hardly noticed any extreme lag during my gaming. So, overall this device is great for gaming.

Overall video and audio quality were also excellent from this device. The only drawback which I saw was the range.

I was able to get only the range of 50ft if the device is out of sight. And when it was in the line of sight I was able to get 90ft range. Which is very less compared to other devices listed in this post.

Another thing to notice was the cord that was in the box was very small and if you need to connect it a little far you may need to buy an external card to connect.

It comes in a glossy finish which looks cheap sometimes. As it becomes a fingerprint magnet and it starts looking old just after first use.

Conclusion

That all these are the four best Wireless HDMI transmitters you can get on the market today. In my testing, I used all these products at least for one week and then provided my thoughts on them.

If you are someone who is looking only to stream audio over Bluetooth then you might consider buying a Bluetooth USB adapter.

But if you are looking for streaming both video and audio then you need Wireless Transmitter only and you make decided from the above list which one suits you best.
