Yesterday, while using my AT&T iPhone, I considered using WiFi calling to see if it worked and what features it offered. However, AT&T WiFi calling was not working for me. Then I went to the internet to look for possible troubleshooting methods.

Below are the things you need before you start using WiFi calling on your smartphone.
- A smartphone that supports your cellphone carrier’s WiFi Calling feature, such as AT&T or T-Mobile.
- Your network provider WiFi signal availability.
- HD Voice service is available on any AT&T wireless or postpaid account. Internet Explorer is the best browser to use to get started with your account.
How To Fix AT&T WiFi Calling Not Working?
New updates can cause minor issues with certain aspects of your phone’s functionality from time to time. Additionally, it is possible that the other components will also cause issues at times.
However, this does not imply that you should neglect important tasks, such as responding to important calls and texts, or that you should resort to an expensive alternative.
There are a variety of options for continuing Wi-Fi Calling after the call has ended. In the event that your AT&T Wi-Fi Calling isn’t working, here are some fixes you can try out.
1. Smartphone Is Updated With Latest Software
To begin, ensure that your smartphone is running the most recent software. Specifically, if you are using iOS, it should be iOS 8 or higher, and if you are using Android, it should be 6 or higher. Many features may not function properly if your device is not up to date with the most recent version of the network.
Follow the below steps to ensure that you do not have any pending updates to install on your smartphone:
- Charge your smartphone to its maximum capacity and connect it to WiFi.
- Swipe down the notification bar and select Settings Menu.

- After that, choose Manually Download Updates From Your Mobile Screen.
- Installing the update is as simple as following the on-screen instructions.
- After the installation is complete, wait for the device to restart on its own.
2. Make Sure That HD Voice Is Enabled
You may notice that your WiFi Calling is not working because HD Voice is not enabled on your smartphone; however, this can be quickly resolved by enabling HD Voice on your smartphone.
Follow the steps below to ensure that HD Voice is enabled on your smartphone.
- Select Cellular from the Home screen’s Settings menu.
- Toggle the Cellular Data switch to the “On” position.
- Select Cellular Data Options.
- Select Enable LTE by Tapping on the screen.
- To activate the feature, select Voice & Data feature.
3. Make Sure That WiFi Is Working And Switched On
Make sure that your WiFi network is switched On. Also, make sure that it can search the available WiFi network nearby. This can help you ensure that your WiFi is working.
Otherwise, tap on Airplane Mode, wait about 30 seconds and then tap on Airplane Mode again to ensure that it is disabled and all of your cellular connections, including the WiFi connection, are back to normal.
Most of the time, your WiFi network becomes stuck, and enabling and then disabling Airplane mode can help you resolve the WiFi Calling not working issue. You can also try restarting your smartphone.
4. Turn Off Your Mobile Data And Try
After you have used Airplane Mode to refresh all of your connections, you may want to experiment with turning off your mobile data connection altogether. As a result, your device will only be able to communicate with your network via Wi-Fi.
To temporarily disable cellular data on your smartphone, follow the steps below.
- To access the Quick Settings Panel, click on the Quick Settings button.

5. Check Your Internet Connection
You must have a working internet connection with a minimum speed of 15Kbps in order to continue using WiFi Calling. Internet Explorer can be used to check the speed of your connection.
6. Contact AT&T Customer Service
In the event that none of the above solutions have worked for you, you may want to contact AT&T customer service. A customer service representative can only check your account to see if the problem is there.
Alternately, you can use Internet Explorer’s built-in community features to resolve AT&T account issues. For uncommon or new problems, use the AT&T community forum to share your concerns with other users and look for answers.
How Do I Reset My WiFi Calling?
Your favorite features may work again after a simple restart of the device. You can either restart your phone and check if everything is working properly, or you can reset network settings on your phone and ensure that you are able to resolve the WiFi Calling issue.
Note: Make a backup of all your data on your smartphone before making a network reset on your smartphone. Otherwise, you can skip this step.
Restart Your Smartphone
Follow the below steps to restart your smartphone.
- Hold down the lock button on your phone.
- Select either power off or restart option on the screen.
- If you have selected power off, wait for at least 15 seconds before pressing the power button again to restart your smartphone.
Reset Your Network Setting
Follow the below steps to reset your Network setting on your smartphone.
- Start by turning on your device and going to the Settings menu.
- Select General > Reset > Reset Network Settings from the setting menu.
- Your smartphone should restart automatically. Otherwise, you can restart manually.
To sum things up, restarting your device and resetting your settings is the simplest way to get things working again. If that doesn’t work, you can proceed to the more difficult steps until you find a way to restore everything to factory settings.
